NIKKA MIYAGIKYOU SINGLE CASK MALT WHISKY Distilled/Bottled: 1989/2007 (60%, OB, Cask #105419, Warehouse #20) Notes of peat with exotic woods such as eucalyptus and pine. The smokiness is then complemented with whiffs of earl grey tea, orange marmalade, tobacco and beeswax. With a little water, it gets fruitier and meatier with hints of cured ham and pinapple. On the palatte, its heavy, immensely concentrated with sweet purple plums and hints of chinese anise and cinnamon. It is an unusual and interesting kind of spiciness.
